The Pc.1 is a single-engine, monoplane surveillance and fighter aircraft designed by Aerodomy and produced by BN Aero. It was Robania's first indigenous production military aircraft.

History Edit

The original Pc.1 was a militarized variant of one of Sofa's first aircraft: An early 20th century-themed monoplane with a wooden fuselage and canvas airfoils, powered and operated by wire thrusters with lift dependent on fin-enabled props.

The Pc.1 was converted to use mouseaim, armed with two 7.62mm machine-guns, and remodeled and retextured to fit a military theme. Furthermore, the main thruster was supplemented with an ACF engine to govern the aircraft's thrust.

Development Edit

The original Pc.1's unsatisfactory model and outdated systems led Sofa to recreate the aircraft from the ground up, making use of Red's Multi-Purpose Flight Chip v6 to replace the old mouseaim chip and wire thrusters.

Dumb Lore Edit

History Edit

In the east, the Third Spat saw military spotting-balloons rendered obsolete by long-range anti-aircraft weaponry. Their retirement in favor of heavier-than-air vehicles proved the airplane's usefulness as a wartime asset, prompting many Altirusian nations' governments to further support development of this technology.

Robania was among this number, especially in the face of international tension directed at them. However, in the face of an economy reeling from isolationist policies, much of the government argued that aircraft development and production would not be economically sound, and that efforts would be better focused on arms production.

The Aerodomy group, intent to prove them otherwise, began their research with a low-key visit to the Royal Air Plant in Duinnmhor, Leganain, where a technical exchange took place between Leganish and Robanian engineers. Despite the clout the visit would have on Aerodomy's design, Robania lacked the engine technology to effectively utilize it: An overweight, inefficient, license-built engine resulted in a wooden airframe with canvas covering, a design that was already being phased out by other nations.

Aerodomy's debut aircraft - the Aero-1 - was completed in 510, and was used to demonstrate the effectiveness of aerial reconnaissance to the Ministry of Defense. By this time, however, both the Alliance and the Commonwealth had begun developing combat aircraft such as fighters and bombers: The Ministry of Defense, therefore, called for an aircraft capable of filling such a role. The underpowered engine and primitive construction of the Aero-1 made it unsuited for the such, until BN Motors came forward with the 12-cylinder Typa.10-12 engine. Succeeding the Aero-1, the Aero-1.12 featured the new powerplant, as well as a monocoque wooden fuselage. Further revisions concluded in the Pc.1, which entered production shortly after the group's absorption into BN. The army bought five Pc.1s as artillery spotting aircraft, while the Defense Aviation Corps - formed around the same time for the purpose of providing combat air-patrol around Robania's borders - armed ten Pc.1s with a pair of 7.62mm machine guns, designated as the Pc.1f.

In 525, the Chergarian 1st Army was spotted crossing the eastern Robanian border by DAC Flight-Officer Sima Voyaczevitz in a Pc.1f. Since Robanian aircraft lacked radios at the time, he attempted to shoot off a flare to warn the guards garrison at Podan Crossing. Discovering that his flare gun was jammed, he flew straight to Podan, waving a signal flag whilst flying at low altitude, before running out of fuel and crash-landing in a potato field further west. Though this allowed the garrison to call for reinforcements, the ensuing shelling would quickly break Robania's defensive line there, opening the war that would consume Robania for more than a year to come.
