The ArmaPar Type 7 (Armata Paroy, or Army Ferry) is a Robanian landing craft intended for transport of troops, supplies, and vehicles across waterways and from ships to shore.

Development Edit

Though not often, water proved to sometimes be a factor in ACF battles: On certain maps, such as gm_valley, rivers and lakes with beaches exist, allowing for amphibious vehicles to ta

ke advantage of them. However, I was too lazy to make an entirely new, amphibious tank, so I instead made a boat that can carry most of my vehicles.

Characteristics Edit

The ArmaPar Type 7 measures in at about 12 meters (39 feet) long, with a beam of 3.5 meters (11.4 feet) and empty draft of 1.7 meters (5.5 feet). It is propelled by a 23 litre V-12 petrol engine and has a maximum load-bearing capacity of about 30 tonnes, making it ideal for ferrying light or medium armor to opposite riverbanks or enemy shores. High armored gunwales offer protection from the sides, though the crew and cargo are exposed from above. This, combined with its low top speed, make it vulnerable to aerial attacks and artillery fire.

Dumb Lore Edit

The handful of rivers that run through eastern Robania proved to be obstacles during the defenders' counterattack. They were made moreso after the Chergarian army air detachment destroyed bridges to cover their tracks. Although Robanian and Commonwealth engineers could assemble new bridges, the flow of materials from the west was still choked by a persisting winter and enemy aircraft. The time it'd take to build a new bridge would be time the enemy could use to regroup and fortify. Although Robania's plentiful lumber had been used to scrap together improvised, floating river-crossings, the preferred method came in the form of civilian river barges. Though the Chergarians worked to scuttle those they found along with bridges, many survived thanks to their relative subtlety, while more could be delivered from the west via the bay. The Type 7 was devised around the same time. Based off a design by Natavik and Sons Boat Works, the Type 7 consists mostly of Pordski cedar wood and is powered by a BN V12 engine equipped with an elevated intake in the event of rough seas.
